Zero Collection Re-dated, Box Art Revealed

Originally slated to hit store shelves April 22nd, Rockman Zero Collection looks to be releasing in a matter of months. Famitsu reports that Capcom has re-dated the compilation for a June 10 release in Japan, priced at ¥4,190.

Coinciding with the announcement, Capcom gave the game's official website a bit of a makeover and pulled the wraps off of the game's box art, which features new artwork courtesy of series artist Toru Nakayama. To compensate for the previous delay, Capcom plans on rewarding E-Capcom customers with an original clear-file folder as a bonus good.

Capcom US and EU have yet to reveal a release date for the game, but I suspect we'll hear something during Capcom's press conference, Captivate 2010, next week. I'll keep you posted.

  3. Is the new cover really by Nakayama? It doesn't really look to much like his style to me.

Admittedly, the image is pretty small, so it's a little difficult to discern.

    ^Closer look.

Zero's pose isn't very dynamic, but the boxart still looks very nice. I like the green lighting effect from the saber.
Glad they didn't just paste the Zero 3 boxart on.

  6. Original clear-file? You mean a completed save file?

  7. A clear file is a collectible translucent folder -- not a save file :)

  8. I wish I knew more about what the Japanese version is going to have aside from custom controls and whatnot. I'm seriously debating importing it. It's not like I haven't beaten the English a billion times over and know the script off by heart. If it had voice acting it'd probably seal the deal (I really should have imported ZX:A <<)

  9. that cover art looks pretty mediocre, like a "well done" fanart

  10. Will the US version include the blood that was taken out of the GBA releases?

Also that Gamespot video on the front page is really annoying. =( It auto plays everytime I come to the site.

  11. That cover looks so badass I really hope that cover looks like the same as the U.S version this summer.

  12. You know it just occurred to me that this seems to jive with Inti Creates' tradition of releasing a Zero/ZX game in Japan in the spring/summer and then in North America the coming fall.
