Looks as if those leaks were true. Capcom officially announced Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 this morning, due out in 2011 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Check out the trailer and a bit of official art here.It's uncertain at this point if any Mega Man characters will take part in the game, but considering Mega Man, Roll, Tron Bonne (and Servbot) were playable in the first two installments, I'd say it's likely someone will show up this time around. I'll keep you posted.

That said I'm hoping for some Megaman series love too. With classic MM back in action over the last few years, I'm kind of hoping it's him.
We got a character from two universes in Tatsunoko. It's a given there will be at least one, but beyond that, who knows?

I'd really love to see some Megaman characters playable. In before they make a really odd choice like putting in Aquaman or Jewelman in just to mess with fans. TEAM HANDSOME!

Aside from the mandatory Ryu and Chun-Li, I'm really hoping that they limit the characters that appear for each franchise that is represented. I like variety (especially since it's a crossover), so it'd be nice if we didn't get a gajillion Street Fighter or X-Men characters.
For Mega Man, I honestly wouldn't mind the number of characters starring, as long as the characters are iconic and recognizable (although with the maturity level of the game, hopefully X).
Who I really want to appear, though, is Ryu from Breath of Fire III. They could get around the name confusion with SF Ryu by calling him Brood Ryu or something. It'd be nice if Capcom visited some of their older franchises.
I'd REALLY like to see Axl in this one.

I'd be happy with Classic MegaMan as well, but he was in the other two MvC games, so...just something different, you know?
I'm gonna say X will represent Megaman this time around. I REALLY hope it's not EXE or Starforce.
My money's on X.... or Protoman.

Although not playable, X had some appearances in crossovers, the most recent being Zero's ending from TvC. However, the Star Force Mega Man didn't appear in any besides EXE SOS... Err, I mean, OSS. Not my fav, but they could give him a try.

Hmm theres a rumors that theres anew X-men may be they gonna introduce the new Marvel characters I guess.
I want X in this think of his special abilities like haduken and dragoon punch(except that there originaly from SF ) and golden armor all SNES type X thats a win for me.
A Star Force character would have made more sense in TvC... Harp Note especially since she's a homage to Yatterman-2...

Star Force is -anything- but cute. Those that have actually played the games might probably agree with this too. >_>
Even though I don't want Star Force touching this game even with a ten mile pole, I'd have to admit that the general snarkiness of Rock/Omega-Xis (and subsequent arguments with Geo/Subaru and everyone else within earshot) could make for some potentially hilarious dialouge.

I agree. Also a great idea with Ryu from BoF3. One of my favorite RPG games! His supers could consist of different dragon transformations.

Hmmm.... I remmeber that there is existing picture in jap computer conventions that there are other characters like Dr.Light in RYU costume while they are announcing TvC are working MvC back then Hmmmmm.... just a guess...
I want Bass in the new vs or this is a new hint for the upcoming Dash/Legends..... Will just wait if theres a new character from those games......
