Agree? Disagree? Thanks for the tip, Klavier Gavin.

  1. Springman totally derserves the first place.

  2. I really liked that list a lot.

  3. Wow, pardon me for being so blunt, but for the most part, Craig was such an idiot with this list. Clearly he doesn't favor MegaMan as much as the most of us and doesn't "get it" as Inafune likes to explain in his interviews. What shows that the most is the usage of Dive Man's mugshot as Hard Man's. I like Craig a lot and his videos do make me chuckle quite a bit, but this list is not to be taken very seriously at all, lol.

  4. Loved this video! I paused at the Plantman List of Counter Robots and laughed my head off. R.O.B., Cloud, and David Crusoe all beat him down... :P

  5. I can't stand it when game commentators, whether consciously or not, talk down to gamers by overloading on slang to sound "in," but other than the tone, it was a pretty good list.

My least favorite would have Clownman at 1st, though, followed closely by Springman. Hard Man wasn't that bad. It's just the unfortunate association some people have with his name, and at least his stage music was cool.

  6. I did find it weird that Splash Woman was on the list considering how she is probably the most beloved RM from 9 (aside from Tornado Man). Yes she may be weak, but with a great stage theme and power I think she is actually one of the better RM's in the classic universe.

  7. Pshh. Of all the reasons to put Splash Woman on the list, they pick the "male chauvinism" angle. Come on.

  8. I normally love Creg's videos, but this... he has so many things wrong.

And he totally did Toad Man wrong. If he was pro, he wouldn't even /move/

  9. Did anyone notice that even though he listed Plant Man as the worst, Planty was kicking his ass in the fight?

  10. Well this video is good for laugh and when you really having exp of difficulty in Megaman even our favorite character's are there like Splash Woman are in the list.

  11. Can't say I was expecting Plant Man to be even on that list. I always liked him, maybe because of the awesome stage music.
And Splash Woman shouldn't be on there either, Galaxy Man was easier to beat.

I would have swapped those two with Star Man and Ring Man.

  12. Pretty weak list.
Where is Bright Man? Pump Man even?
Why is there a Dive Man shot instead of Hard Man?

Why is Splash Woman getting that much hate, even though her stage and weapon kick ass. It was even a fun fight.

Oh well, not something to get upset about, Screwattack has been going downhill fast lately.

  13. Well, judging from this guy's reason for hating Splash Woman, he seems to be nothing more than a sexist prick.

  14. I always thought Top Man was designed solely for combat. I mean, spinnning & ramming should logically make a harder blow.

  15. I said nothing.. It is not a fact. Just an opinions to our liking and disliking, thats all.

  16. @Everyone hating on Craig: Geez, calm down. 1) It's his list. He can make it however he pleases. As long as he backs up his opinions, you can't really do squat about it. OPINONS, PEOPLE. LEARN TO NOT CONFUSE THEM WITH FACTS. 2) You just can't deny that Craig has a point with Splash Woman (even though I wouldn't put her on that list for the life of me). Hell, even I noticed it when I first played Mega Man 9. 3) As for the Diveman mugshot, ok, THAT's a legitimate complaint.

As for the actual list, I'm surprised at the lack of Bright Man and Aqua Man. I'd personally drop Splash and Clown, move everyone between Clown and Splash down a spot, raise Spring to #2, put Bright Man at #4, and put Aqua Man at #1. I HATE Aqua Man.

  17. Why is Toad Man only number 3? And Centaur Man and Plant Man are NOT fail. Can't say I didn't laugh, though.

  18. @TAG:

Wait, so let me get this straight. Are you saying that it's okay for Craig (and anyone else) to make such sexist, chauvinistic(sp?) remarks about women? I'll admit, I didn't agree with lots of things that were in the video, but THAT one REALLY takes the cake. That was the part that I TRULY had a problem with.

  19. @ Krazy Monkey

I think that Craig was being sarcastic with the sexist remarks. It's not to be taken seriously, much like the rest of the video.

  20. @TAG

Its very true everyone has opinions. Its just when some people's opinions are so silly it really can make a fella a bit ticked, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  21. This guy probably barely knows about the games.

    ReplyDelete
  22. @Krazy Monkey: I'm 99% sure he's not actually being serious when he says that men>women. He's referring more to how she's the first female robot master in the series and Capcom decided to make her weak to the Mega Buster. If he truly was sexist, Corey wouldn't be part of the ScrewAttack crew.

@Khorosho: 1) He attacks with water. And not even special kind of water (like Bubble Lead) or high-powered geysers. It's just plain water. 2) His voice is ANNOYING. AS. HELL. 3) He's made of freaking glass. Several swings with a hammer should render him all but useless.

@MegaMac: Hard Man has a silly name, Stone Man's weapon sucks, Plant Man sucks, Splash Woman does a crappy job at not supporting stereotypes, Clown Man's retarded, Centaur Man sucks, Top Man's weapon is retarded, Toad Man is stupid, Charge Man's weapon sucks, Spring Man is stupid. These are all his opinions. Tell me which ones are genuinely silly and not "silly" simply because you have different opinions of them.

Yet you did not disprove my point. He is still Handsome Guy.

  24. @Tayo: Have you ever heard of the "Video Game Vault"? Yeah, it's a series of videos about nostalgic games and what there is to know about them. The vast majority of them are done by Craig. The first 6 Mega Man games are all in the vault. Looks like someone hasn't done their research. *waggles finger*

  25. Er... that's a stupid reason for putting Splash Woman on that list. Why? Because it's wrong. Galaxy Man is easier than Splash Woman. Splash Woman can actually be somewhat challenging only using the buster (not hard, but certainly not the easiest RM in MM9), while Galaxy Man is a cakewalk no matter what.

It's not so much that she's the easiest, but more about her being weak to the default weapon, thus being the first you would normally beat in a conventional playthough. Still, I kinda agree with that still being not enough of a reason to put her on the list, but meh.

    ReplyDelete
  27. @Tayo: Handsome Guy doesn't make up for everything else. :P

  28. strongly disagree

centaurman is one of the best robot masters

    ReplyDelete
  29. @TAG

But by that logic, shouldn't every easy-to-beat robot master be on this list? Because they're easy?

Metalman is by far one of the easiest robot masters to beat - with his own weapon.

"He's referring more to how she's the first female robot master in the series and Capcom decided to make her weak to the Mega Buster."

i.e. Lousy job at avoiding stereotyping. :P

  31. With the exception of Topman I disagree with everything in this video. Especially Splashwoman, they gave a girl the chance to shine and she was the most powerful opponent Megaman has ever faced! In my opinion Splash was the toughest foe Megaman has ever faced, (at least in the first 9 games).
