Rad Mega Man ZX Models

Garage kit convention, "Wonder Festival", may be over, but that doesn't mean we can't drool over these awesomely made, 1/8th scale Aile and Atlas model kits! (of Mega Man ZX Advent fame).

Unlike most figures at the show, these lovely ladies were sold pre-built and pre-painted...for a price of course; a steep 15,000 Yen (around $162). Ouch.

In any case, it seems the models were successful enough to warrant successors: the sculptor, "MoM0", is said to be hard at work on developing new ZX series up models in preparation for future hobby shows.

  1. Those are prett nice... I got the unbuilt garage kits of Original X and Zero from the Rockman ZERO series about two months ago. But it's not just sticking pieces together and painting them- it's drilling holes and sandpapering tiny pieces before carefully putting together little pieces and painting them. In other words, I haven't got around the building them yet.

However, seeing ones like these, it makes me want to get more... especially pre-built, pre-painted ones. I wonder if they have Helios as well.

  2. How in the world do they sculpt these? Like, what do they start with, a block of plastic or a similar model?

  3. I have to agree with Hypercoyote, how do they start the figures?

On the side note, one day, I'm going to have enough money to spur on these type of figures...One day...

  4. I always always ALWAYS have to do a double take and remember that Atlas is a girl....

  5. I hope he makes some transformed models as well. I'd love to see a transformed Helios and Shiarnaq.

Link shows some of the creation process near the bottom. Never heard of MoM0 before though.
