Winter World Hobby Fair Pics

Dengeki Online has uploaded a ton of World Hobby Fair photos, including some shots of Capcom's booth. Before taking a look at the gallery, take a good look at this photo in particular.

Look familiar? You bet. It's the promotional image used in the Nintendo Dream teaser from way back.

Capcom sure is hyping whatever game is coming... How much longer will we be teased?

  1. Maybe it's that Rockman crossover game that was rumored a long time ago. The one that was supposedly canceled and went through a lot of variations. I believe it was Scramble Battle? I mean, that way no matter what series the boss was designed for, it could still fit in.

  4. I dunno...Last time we had an "amazing crossover battle game" we got Castlevania Judgement. Blech. But I do hope it is a good game. I REALLY do.

  5. They're going to keep on teasing us, because it's DEFINITELY the best way to keep us interested...whatever may be in the pipeline.

Any way, for right now, Crossover game would be nice, if it was done right. And I'm sure Capcom would love having a nice, reliable cash-cow that could sell to the Wii demographic easily...

  8. I'd be up for Scramble Battle. Waited more than a year for news about it. :P I was so disappointed last April. XD

That picture is apparently supposed to be on the screen of a Hunter VG... Maybe a hint? Perhaps something happens in the RnR universe that brings the others together?

Interesting indeed, but I'm getting my hopes up. It'll probably just be some regular sequel. :P

Having a crossover game would be kind of weird anyway, and is the sign of a cheap franchise.

  9. That picture makes RnR Rockman look extra cool and EXE Rockman a bit chubby.

It's the other way around in every other case.

  10. no Trigger in the pic?

    WTH capcom?, seriously WTH!?

  11. @Anon: No Zero or ZX either.
Is there any meaning in that only the alternate universe counter parts of Classic (EXE) and X (Ryusei) are shown besides the previously mentioned?

  12. I doubt it. They might just not have an art of those Rockman's with them facing the right angle. And you've got to be practical in how many you squash into one picture. And you don't want to push people away by showing how many iterations there are. You just can't over analyze these things. The picture doesn't tell us anything.

  13. I remember when I laughed at my friend when he said they had to make a megamanx.exe. ('Bout when EXE2 came out)

How I wish he had been wrong.

  14. Crossover battle? Like Brawl? That would look endlessly weird with Megaman, although there is more than enough characters... I hate being teased too! WE CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER, CAPCOM!!! REVEAL ALREADY SO WE GAJJIN COULD GO NUTS!

  15. WHOOO! HOOO! ANOTHER CROSSOVER GAME!

I LOVE CROSSOVER GAMES THEY'RE THE BEST!

IT NEVER FAILS TO AMUSE ME, CUZ THEY TAKE THEIR BEST CHARACTERS AND MASH THEM ALL TOGETHER!

BTW THIS MAY SEEM OBVIOUS, THERE'S AN AWFUL LOT OF CROSSOVER GAMES COMING OUT/GETTING ANNOUNCED IN THE PAST YEAR...

    THERE'S:

    DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY
    CASTLEVANIA JUGDMENT
    SUPER SMASH BRAWL
    MORTAL KOMBAT VS. DC UNIVERSE
    TATSUNOKO VS. CAPCOM
    CROSS EDGE

I'M PRETTY SURE I'M MISSING SOME...

  16. Why is the X from Zero and ZX missing?
Why is the Rockman from DASH missing?

  17. I never once mentioned fighting game did I? Scramble Battle never had any specifics on the type of game. It went through several variations. From Action to Board Game I believe.

Crossover isn't a sign of weakness by the way. The vs. Capcom games were very popular. Some featured Rockman or other characters. Onimusha Blade Warriors had Rockman.exe and Rockman Zero. So this doesn't seem entirely crazy.

  18. This is Capcom we're talking about, so if it's a crossover fighting game then there shouldn't be too much to worry about :P. Not saying they haven't made bad fighting games before but at least they have a good track record.

Anyway, definitely interested in finding out what this is.
